Biography
I am an ambitious and motivated individual with over 28 years research, teaching and senior management experience. I have been in senior academic position since 2007 managing international business and collaboration portfolio and subject group leader, managing a team of 16 full time academic staff and 10 associate lecturers. In 2012 promoted to lead the operations and resource management for the department of Engineering and Maths responsible for 90 FT academic staff, 50 associated lecturers and >2700 students. From 2013 till early 2014 led the department of Engineering and Maths as Interim Head of Department till April 2016 before joining University of Wolverhampton as Head of School of Engineering.
Research Interest
The physical processes occurring during fatigue and fracture of engineering materials. Modelling of the interfacial strengthening mechanisms operating at the micro-interface of second phase reinforced metallic alloys. Environmental damage modelling and life assessment of metallic foam material. High temperature fatigue crack initiation and propagation when subjected to thermal shock Subsea structures damage investigation and analysis Vehicle Crash Simulation
