Biography
Linzi joined the University of Worcester in 2003 after a career in teaching across primary, middle and secondary schools. She worked as Assistant Head of English, within a department of 19 staff, which included staff training and development. She has always been keen to mentor student teachers on the undergraduate and post graduate routes in her classroom, and enjoyed the reflection on her professional practice that these experiences offered. Since joining the University she has developed and led the Graduate Teacher Programme from its evolution as an alternative route into teaching to a successful and thriving Programme, gaining national recognition through Ofsted and TDA accreditation as one of the thirteen best providers in the country. She then moved onto lead Primary Partnership, supporting schools, students and tutors across ITE Programmes and looking at ways in which the partnership could be developed and expanded at the same time as our numbers of student teachers increased with the expansion of the University. This culminated with two successful, outstanding Ofsted inspections which praised the high quality of the partnership.
