Biography
Dr Gerri trained as a registered nurse in the South of England and following this she worked in acute care. Later she went on to specialise in primary care and worked as a practice nurse and nurse practitioner in North and West Yorkshire. Dr Gerri also worked as a development manager for Calderdale and Kirklees Health Authority with a specific remit for practice nurse development. During her time in that role she worked as a nurse advisor to the Department of Health advising on issues related to primary care. Following this Gerri moved into Higher Education and worked as a Senior Lecturer at Huddersfield University.
