Biography
Mark Ballingall is a Senior Weeds Consultant at SAC Research where he has been working for the last six years. He has a BSc (hons) in Agriculture: Specialising in Crop Science from the University of Aberdeen, followed by a year at Harper Adams University College where he did a Diploma in Crop Protection. Following University, Mark worked for 19 years at CSC Crop Protection where he became Technical Manager until its merger with Masstoc. Now a weeds and herbicide specialist at SAC he is involved in research, trials and consultantancy and contributes frequently to various publications.
Research Interest
Mark works particularly on limiting the entry of herbicides into water courses and is a member of the Pesticide Forum; Weed Research Action Group; the Weed Review Group; and the Scottish Society for Crop Research.
