Biography
Mike May has worked in sugar beet research since 1970, initially in weed control at the Weed Research Organization. In 1984 he moved to Morley Research Centre where he was responsible for beet agronomy research and technology transfer of the research findings to the industry.
Research Interest
In 1997 he headed up knowledge transfer at Broom's Barn on behalf of the UK beet industry He has good links with sugar beet research in other countries and has been a member of the IIRB (International Institute for Sugar Beet Research) since 1984. He has authored over 250 papers on sugar beet research and related issues.
