Biography
Rob Davies comes from a mixed farming background and spent 11 years in farm practice before moving to CVL Weybridge in 1990. Currently Rob is leader of the NRL/OIE Salmonella Reference Laboratory of AHVLA which has responsibility for field epidemiological investigations as well as disinfectant approval testing and is involved in advising risk managers in UK and EU on control of foodborne zoonoses. Research into Salmonella control in poultry, pigs and cattle is ongoing and the team also supports risk assessment projects and carries out field investigations and research on behalf of Defra and other stakeholders.
