Biography
"Dr. Dominguez works as Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust and lecturer at New York University in London. She also holds a post as Honorary Clinical Lecturer in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Centre for Mental Health, Imperial College London. Dr. Dominguez is the President of the “Association of Scientists in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry - Alicia Koplowitz Foundationâ€. Background Mari Dominguez graduated in Medicine at the University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain). She completed her specialist clinical training in psychiatry at the Hospital Santiago Apostol in Vitoria (Spain), whilst she began her academic career in the Department of Neuroscience, University of the Basque Country (Bilbao-Leioa, Spain). In 2006, Dr. Dominguez obtained a Marie Curie Fellowship and moved to the Department of Psychiatry and Neuropsychology, Maastricht University (Maastricht, The Netherlands), where she developed her research interest in psychiatric epidemiology & meta-analytic studies in the field of Adolescent Psychosis. After obtaining her PhD entitled 'A Dynamic Model of the Onset of Clinical Psychosis from an Epidemiological Perspective' in 2009, Dr. Dominguez continued to work as a postdoctoral researcher at Maastricht University. In 2010, Dr. Dominguez obtained an Alicia Koplowitz fellowship (clinical and research fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry) at Imperial College London (UK). Since 2012, Dr. Dominguez continued her combined clinical and research work in child and adolescent psychiatry as Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists for the NHS in London. From September 2016, she works as a Lecturer in Global Perspectives in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at New York University in London."
