Biography
Paula Jackson joined the Faculty of Education and Theology at York St John University with over 14 years teaching experience in both Secondary and Higher Education. Since February 2012 Paula Jackson have been Senior Lecturer in Primary Education (Art and Design), having previously been Module Director for the Secondary PGCE in Design and Technology. Paula Jackson combine his teaching role with being co-director responsible for strategic development at the New School House Gallery in York, which Paula Jackson co-founded four years ago. This experience means that I maintain a strong interest in the role of artistic creativity and the possibilities for cross-fertilization of ideas between Education, the arts and arts organisations. This interest allows me to develop new thinking and new possibilities in the student experience.
Research Interest
Paula Jackson specific research interest is in the boundaries around collaborative, multidisciplinary artistic practice and creating immersive environments of creativity and learning.
