Biography
Ms. Hayley Barna serves as a Venture Partner and Partner at First Round Capital, where she focuses largely on e-commerce opportunities. She joined the firm in February 2016. Ms. Barna Co-Founded Birchbox, Inc. in 2010 and served as its Co-Chief Executive Officer until 2015 for five years from conception and launch to growing the business to over a million monthly subscribers. She raised over $70 million in venture capital, expanded the business internationally and launched new businesses and channels like men's and retail stores. Ms. Barna oversaw key functions including marketing, operations, strategy and technology. She also spent time at two very different ends of the retail spectrum through her roles in strategy at Christie's and product management at Amazon. She started her career as a Strategy Consultant at Bain & Company. Mr. Barna is a board member at Birchbox, RAB Lighting and Madison Reed. She was a brain consultant, amateur behavioral economist, and costume dance party specialist at Harvard Business School. Ms. Barna received her MBA from Harvard Business School.
