Biography

Dr. Benditt is a pulmonary critical care physician who is the medical director of Respiratory Services at the University of Washington Medical Center. He sees all types of respiratory patients but specializes and is internationally known for caring for those with neuromuscular respiratory weakness requiring non-invasive ventilation support. He is a full professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He has a great passion for these patients and is one of a small number of physicians around the United States specializing in this area.  Dr. Benditt was a medical student at the University of Washington and did his residency fellowship training at Boston University. He has been in practice at UWMC for 22 years. He has been the chair of the American College of Physicians Home Care Network and has served on the Board of the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association Washington State Chapter.
