Biography
Mr. James R. Long has been an Independent Business Consultant since 1999. Mr. Long served as an Executive Vice President of Nortel Networks from 1994 to December 31, 1999. Mr. Long has a distinguished 35-year career in the high technology industry. He served as the president of Nortel Enterprise Solutions from 1997 to 1999, President of Nortel World Trade from 1994 to 1997, Senior Vice President of Nortel's Asia Pacific Division from 1992 to 1994 and its Corporate Vice President of Quality from 1991 to 1992. Mr. Long held a variety of senior executive positions with IBM Corp., and Rolm Company. He has been an Independent Director of Symon Communications Inc. since 1999. He serves as a Director of Polynesian Cultural Center and 3Com Corporation. He served as Director of 3Com Corporation since 2000. He served as a Director of NCR Corp., from October 16, 1998 to April 25, 2003 and Cypress Semiconductor Corporation since 2000. He served as a Director of Williams Communication Solutions, Nortel-Matra Communications, U.S.-China Business Council, U.S.-Taiwan Business Council and Johns Hopkins University China Campus (Nanjing). Mr. Long is also on the National Advisory Council of the Marriott School of Management, Brigham Young University. He holds a Bachelor's of Science in Industrial Management from San Jose State University.
