Michael L. Eskew

Biography

Mr. Michael L. Eskew, also known as Mike, serves as a Senior Advisor at RRE Ventures LLC. Mr. Eskew has significant global business, leadership and oversight experience. Mr. Eskew served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at United Parcel Service, Inc., from January 2002 to January 2008. He served as an Executive Vice President at 3M Company where he joined in 1972. He started his UPS career in 1972 as an Industrial Engineering Manager. His advancement continued in various positions of increasing responsibility including time with UPS' operations and at UPS Airlines. In 1994, he was named Corporate Vice President for Industrial Engineering of UPS. He served as a Group Vice President for Engineering at UPS since 1996. Mr. Eskew served as Executive Vice President at UPS since 1999. He served as the Chairman of US-China Business Council, Inc. since 2004. He served as Vice Chairman of 3M Company. He served as Vice Chairman of UPS since 2000. He has been a Director of International Business Machines Corporation since January 1, 2005 and serves as its Presiding Director. He has been a Director of Eli Lilly and Company since February 18, 2008. He serves as a Director at 3M Precision Optics, Inc. He has been Lead Director of 3M Company since November 12, 2012. Mr. Eskew has been an Independent Director of 3M Company since April 7, 2003 and a Director of The Allstate Corporation since July 21, 2014 and 3M Canada Company since 2003. Mr. Eskew serves as a Trustee of The UPS Foundation and The Annie E. Casey Foundation. He served as a Director at United Parcel Service Inc., from 1998 to December 31, 2014. He was Trustee Emeritus of Georgia Research Alliance, Inc. and served as its Trustee. Mr. Eskew served as Member of Advisory Board at British-American Business Council. In 2003, he was appointed to the President's Export Council. Mr. Eskew completed the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School of Business. Mr. Eskew holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Purdue University in 1972
