Ray M. Robinson

Biography

Mr. Ray M. Robinson served as the President of AT&T Southern Region Business Services Division from July 2001 to May 1, 2003. Mr. Robinson served as President of the Southern Region Consumer Services Division at&T Corporation from January 1996 to July 2001. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of AT&T Tridom from 1993 to 1995. He served as Vice President of Corporate Relations at&T Corporation from 1994 to 1996. His career spans human resources, operations, sales, marketing strategy, customer service, international business, government affairs, product management and community relations. He served positions such as District Sales Operations Manager and Vice President of Corporate Relations/Public Relations at&T. From 1996 to 2003, he served as the President of the Southern Region of AT&T Corporation. He served at National Service Industries, Inc. He joined AT&T in 1968 and served numerous senior management positions in marketing, corporate relations, engineering and regulatory affairs. He served for 43-years with AT&T. He has extensive service on other public company boards. He has sales and marketing experience through senior leadership positions and has extensive operational skills and longstanding involvement in civic and charitable leadership roles in the community. He has been the Non-Executive Chairman of Citizens Trust Bank, a subsidiary of Citizens Bancshares Corp. (ga)., since May 2003. He has been the Chairman at Citizens Bancshares Corporation since May 2003 and has been its Director since 1999. He has been the Chairman of Aaron's, Inc. since April 2014 and has been its Independent Director since October 2002 and served as its Lead Director November 2012 to April 2014. He has been a Director of Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Investors LLC since May 20, 2015. He has been an Independent Director of American Airlines Group Inc. since December 2013. He has been an Independent Director of Acuity Brands, Inc. since December 2001. He serves as an Independent Director of American Airlines, Inc. He has been a Director at Citizens Trust Bank since 1999. He serves as a Director of AMR Corp. He serves as a Trustee of Spelman College, Meharry Medical College and the University of Denver Alumni Association. He serves on several philanthropic, educational and civic organizations. He serves as a Board Member of the Atlanta Metro Chamber of Commerce, the Commerce Club, the Woodruff Arts Center of Atlanta and the Georgia Aquarium. He served as a Director of RailAmerica, Inc. from April 14, 2010 to October 1, 2012. He served as an Independent Director at Avnet, Inc. from 2000 to May 01, 20174 and served as its Lead Director. He served as a Director of ChoicePoint, Inc. since December 2004. He served as a Director of Mirant Corp. since 2001. He serves as President Emeritus of the golf club. From May 2003 to December 2005, he served as President of Atlanta's East Lake Golf Club and served as its President Emeritus since December 2005. Mr. Robinson served as the Chairman of Atlanta's East Lake Community Foundation from November 2003 to January 2005 and has been its Vice Chairman since January 2005. He is a Member of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, the NAACP, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the National Black MBA Association. Mr. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Economics and an Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Denver Graduate School of Business.
