Biography
Kimberley Forbes-McKean, Ph.D., brings more than 26 years of experience in pharmaceutical development to her role as Senior Vice President, Drug Development at Aclaris Therapeutics, including more than 20 years in the dermatological space. Prior to joining Aclaris, Dr. Forbes-McKean helped lead the expansion of Aqua Pharmaceuticals, LLC into a full product development and sales and marketing organization, ultimately resulting in an acquisition by Almirall, S.A. Previously, she has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer at Cutanea Life Sciences, Inc.; Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer at Isolagen, Inc.; Vice President of Global Dermatological Product Development and Commercialization at Aventis Pharmaceutical Inc.; and Worldwide Director, Dermatological Product Development at Dermik Laboratories, Sanofi-Aventis. She has also worked at Merck & Co., Inc. and Baxter International Inc. Dr. Forbes-McKean has a Doctor of Philosophy in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Union College in Schenectady, New York.
