Biography
Randy Werneth is a seasoned executive with 25 years of experience in both small entrepreneurial and Fortune 500 corporations in the medical device industry. Prior to Acutus Medical, Mr. Werneth successfully started several other venture backed companies including Ablation Frontiers (acquired by Medtronic), LeanTherapeutics (VC funded), CryoTherapeutics (VC funded) and CardioStream (acquired technology through private deal). Mr. Werneth previously held senior level positions at Medtronic, Micro Therapeutics and Edwards Lifesciences where he engineered and/or managed the design and development of numerous medical technologies and clinical procedures in the fields of stents, neuro-embolic materials, vulnerable plaque and electrophysiology. He also sits on the board of several venture funded medical device companies in the US and Europe. Mr. Werneth holds a B.S. degree in Engineering from Arizona State University (ASU) and a Masters in Science from University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He has more than 60 issued U.S. Patents in various medical technology fields.
