Biography
Martin’s pursuit of making an impact and reducing healthcare costs through the smart application of diagnostics and personalized medicine led him to Adaptive in 2015. “It felt like a perfect fit – I get to pursue my career goals while being part of an exciting and growing company with very talented people.” Prior to adaptive, Martin studied cancer evolution and heterogeneity at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and later started his own medical device consultancy firm. Martin holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the Univ. of Washington and a certification in Bioinformatics from Stanford. Martin is “excited about how Adaptive is contributing to humanity’s understanding of how the adaptive immune system works, which may result in new preventative strategies and therapies to existing disease.” Outside of the office Martin teaches kayaking, plays a Zither and volunteers with organizing a variety of local art and industry events.
