Neely completed Advanced Courses, Long Island University (2001) Certificate in Advanced Librarianship, Columbia University (1972) M.S. in L.S., University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (1964) A.B. in English, Davidson College (1962).Member, American Library Association (since 1963) Former active member of several professional associations: Society of American Archivists, Church Library Archivists, Archivists Roundtable of New York, Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference,New Jersey Library Association,Missouri Library Association. Member, Board of Directors, Friends of Cedarmere (the home of poet, newspaper editor, and civic leader William Cullen Bryant (Roslyn Harbor, Long Island) Member of the vestries of the Church of the Transfiguration (New York City) and St. Luke's Episcopal Church (Sea Cliff, NY).
