Biography
Joseph Newirth completed Diplomate in Psychoanalysis, American Board of Professional Psychology (1997) Certificate in Psychoanalysis, William Alanson White Institute of Psychoanlaysis, Psychiatry and Psychology (1977) Ph.D., University of Massachusetts (1970).interested in both theoretical and qualitative studies. I have developed a method, the N-MOPE, for assesing the effects of unconscious and conscious thought processes in different linguistic experiences, for example, psychotherapy, dreams, and other personal language texts.
Research Interest
Unconscious aspects of gender and how we learn to relate to others and change process in psychotherapy. I am begining a research project on conscious and unconscious aspects of interpretation in psychotherapy.
