Biography
Patricia A. Joyce completed DSW, Graduate School and University Center of the City of New York (2001) MSW, Hunter College School of Social Work (1983) BA, St. John's College, Annapolis, MD (1975).Turning Point for Women and Families, Board member, February 2012-present. Turning Point provides domestic violence and youth development services to Muslim women and their families.
Research Interest
Qualitative research on: trauma, incest, mental illness, non-offending mothers of sexually abused children, cultural competence and PTSD, domestic violence, secondary trauma and ethnicity, psychoanalytic theory, professionals’ constructions of clients, the social process of treatment planning in agency practice.
