Biography
Dr. Matthew Francis is Professor of Department of Chemistry at UC Berkeley, and Associate Dean of College of Chemistry at UC Berkeley. He is also Director of Organic Chemistry Division at Molecular Foundry, LBNL. Dr. Francis built a research program involving the development of new organic reactions for protein modification. These new chemical tools have then been used to modify biomolecular assemblies for diagnostic imaging.
