James K. Lonergan

Biography

 Mr. James K. Lonergan, also known as Jim has been Chief Executive Officer of Advantage Business Media LLC since August 2014. Mr. Lonergan serves as the Chief Operating Officer of OneFN Inc. Mr. Lonergan served as the Chief Executive of The Connors Group, Inc., since February 13, 2012 and was responsible for helping Connors Group be a leading voice within the active-investor community. Mr. Lonergan served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of The NewsMarket, Inc. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Synaptic Digital Inc. (Formerly known as, Medialink Worldwide Inc.). He served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of TheStreet, Inc. (formerly Thestreet.Com) from 2002 to 2007. He joined TheStreet, Inc. in February 2001 from Worldly Information Network, an online publisher of investment information, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and President from January 2000 to February 2001. He has over 15 years experience in managing and growing information businesses. Mr. Lonergan started his career in sales and marketing at financial services firms before joining the start up Technimetrics where he launched one of the fist Internet product offerings for the financial services industry. Prior to joining Worldly, he served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Thomson Financial Investor Relations (formerly, Technimetrics, Inc.) from 1998 to January 2000. While at Thomson Financial, he was instrumental in integrating business units and acquired companies into a cohesive organization. Mr. Lonergan served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Technimetrics, Inc. from 1996 to 1998. He spent a number of years working on the buyside for Alliance Capital and SunAmerica Asset Management in both a sales and investment decision process roles. He served as the Chairman of Synaptic Digital, Inc. (formerly The NewsMarket, Inc.). He served as an Executive Chairman of publishing company Sports Information Group. He has demonstrated experience and success leading growth stage companies, both early and developed, as well as turn-around situations having served in the capacity as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer , President & Chief Operating Officer at hyper-local news firm The Alternative Press, B2B Video Platform & Services firm Synaptic Digital, all Digital financial firm The Street.com, & B2B data, software, news and analytic firm Thomson Reuters while also serving as a Board Member on a number of other leading edge organizations. He serves on the boards of Sports Information Group and is Councilman-Elect for Chatham. He served as a Director of Synaptic Digital Inc. He served as a Member of Advisory Board at Management CV Inc. Mr. Lonergan has a BA in Political Science from Villanova and an MBA in Marketing from Fordham University.
