Biography
Sean C.S. Chiao is President, Asia Pacific, at AECOM (NYSE: ACM), a premier, fully integrated infrastructure firm that designs, builds, finances and operates assets for governments, businesses and organizations in more than 150 countries. Mr. Chiao is responsible strategic growth and business operations in Greater China, Southeast Asia and Australia and New Zealand, covering over 12,000 employees. As a passionate, industry leading urbanist, he is committed to cultivating innovation and collaboration in the development of the built environment to serve society’s needs and aspirations. His advocacy and involvement span the spectrum of leading the design and execution of pioneering projects, to the research and development of new concepts, to serving as a speaker in key forums. Mr. Chiao has spearheaded strategically significant and award-winning masterplans for new towns and regeneration of existing urban landscapes including the Kuala Lumpur River of Life masterplan; the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor; the redevelopment of the financial district of Fort Bonifacio in Metro Manila in the Philippines; and the rejuvenation of Suzhou Industrial Park in Jiangsu, China. Mr. Chiao is also a member of Harvard University’s Master in Design Engineering (MDE) External Advisory Board as well as University of Southern California’s (USC) Board of Advisors for the American Academy in China (AAC).
