Jack Singer

Biography

Jack W. Singer, M.D., is a founder of CTI BioPharma and currently serves as the Company’s Executive Vice President, Chief Scientific Officer, Interim Chief Medical Officer and Global Head of Translational Medicine. Dr. Singer has been one of the Company’s directors since its inception in September 1991. From 2004 to June 2012, Dr. Singer was the Company’s Chief Medical Officer. From July 1995 to January 2004, Dr. Singer was Executive Vice President, Research Program Chairman, and from April 1992 to July 1995, he served as Executive Vice President, Research and Development. He also serves on the board of directors of DiaKine Therapeutics Inc. Prior to joining CTI, Dr. Singer was Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington and full Member of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. From 1975 to 1992, he was the Chief of Medical Oncology at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Seattle. Dr. Singer received his M.D. from State University of New York, Downstate Medical College.
