Biography
Before joining UCS, Dr. Mulik served as an international grain analyst at the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development at Iowa State University, where she developed and maintained rigorous econometric models of global agricultural markets and analyzed food and grain policies affecting these markets. Her prior research focused on intellectual property rights,
Research Interest
Kranti Mulik is a senior economist in the Food & Environment Program specializing in land use and climate change as well as global agricultural markets. She conducts research on land-use modeling to support advocacy in the area of land use choices for food, fiber, forest and fuel, and preventing unintended health and environmental consequences from ranching and agricultural practices.
