Biography
Governor Craig R. Benson serves as the Chief Executive Officer at airPointe Corporation. Governor Benson has been the Chief Executive Officer of Anseri Corporation since January 2005. He served as Chief Executive Officer of SoftDraw Investments LLC. From January 2003 to January 2005, he served as Governor of the State of New Hampshire. From 1999 to 2002, he campaigned for governor of New Hampshire. In 1983, he Co-founded Cabletron Systems, Inc., a leading provider of networking solutions and thereafter served as its Chairman from 1983 to July 1999, Chief Executive Officer until 1997 and again from 1998 to 1999, President from April 1998 to July 1999 and its Chief Operating Officer from 1983 to July 1999. He served as an Executive Officer of Enterasys Networks, Inc. He serves as the Chairman of Advisory Board of Careview Communications, Inc. He serves as Trustee of Lahey Health System, Inc. He has been a Director of Planet Fitness, Inc. since July 27, 2017. He serves as a Member of Board of Trustees at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center. He serves as Trustee of Lahey Clinic Foundation, Inc. He serves as a Trustee of University System Of New Hampshire and of Lahey Clinic, Inc. He served as a Director of Sycamore Networks Inc. from October 2007 to April 1, 2013. He served as a Director of Cabletron Systems since July 1999 and Unisphere Networks Inc., since September 2000. He served as a Director of Bluenote Networks, Inc. He serves as on two non-profit boards and teaches courses on Entrepreneurship at Babson College. Magazine named The Honorable Benson “Entrepreneur of the Year“ in 1991 and in 1995 he was inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs. He graduated from Babson College with a Degree in Finance and completed an MBA in Operations Management from Syracuse University.
