As the clinical co-director of the Alzheimer’s Center, Dr. Celmins is dedicated to studying the brain and accentuating the importance of early detection, diagnosis and treatment of memory disorders. For patients already diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, Dr. Celmins offers medical and emotional support: “I try to explain to my patients and their families what their condition is and how to manage it. My research also helps me better investigate their neurological conditions,” she says.
