Biography
Dr. Swati Mehta is an Assistant Professor in Albany Med’s Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of acute kidney injuries, chronic kidney diseases, glomerulonephritis, and end stage renal diseases. Actively involved in research, Dr. Mehta has presented at the National Kidney Foundation’s clinical meeting and has contributed to AJKD Blog, the official blog of the American Journal of Kidney Diseases. She also authored a book chapter on the health risks associated with excessive phosphorus for patients with chronic kidney disease. An active member of the National Kidney Foundation and the American Society of Nephrology, Dr. Mehta takes pride in offering compassionate care to patients and in mentoring medical students, residents and fellows.
