Biography
Joe Spencer is the Vice President of Engineeringat ALD nanosolutions. He joined ALD NanoSolutions in 2005 as a process design engineer. Between 2011 and 2017 he lead ALDN’s reactor and sample production as Director of Operations, as of current Mr. Spencer is the VP of Engineering at ALD Nano. He has contributed a number of enhancements to the technology over the years, including pioneering the use of in-situ techniques to monitor reaction progress in a particle ALD system. He received a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder under the supervision of co-founder Dr. Alan Weimer. His undergraduate and masters’ lab work centered around construction and exploration of fluidized bed Particle ALD™ systems. He has co-authored a number of publications and patents pertaining to Particle ALD™ equipment and implementation.He is the leading expert in design and construction of fluidized bed reactor systems for Particle ALD™.
