Biography
Long before Terri joined Algalita’s Board as a passionate environmentalist, she was working on our business records. During that process, Terri, a longtime CPA, noticed that our team has continued do achieve so much with so little. “There was so much dedication,” she recalls. “The more I became aware of what they did, the more interested I became in the plastic pollution issue.” Terri is retired from the University of California, San Diego internal audit department, where she managed projects that required knowledge in information technology and business systems. Also a board member with the San Diego Natural History Museum, Terri understands the special accounting needs of nonprofits. As Algalita past president, Terri is continuing to work to promote organizational growth and achieve a firm donor base.
