Biography
William Humphries was appointed to Aclaris Therapeutics’ board of directors as of September 2016. Mr. Humphries is the Executive Vice President, Group Chairman Dermatology of Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, Inc. Previously, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Merz, Inc. North American business (affiliate of Merz Pharma Group), and was a member of the Merz Pharma Board and the Chairman of the Merz, Inc. board of directors. At Merz, Inc., Mr. Humphries was responsible for the continued and accelerated growth of the Aesthetics, Dermatology, OTC/OTX and Neuroscience businesses within North America. He has more than 29 years of experience in the specialty pharmaceutical industry, with more than 26 of those years focused on the commercialization of products in medical dermatology and aesthetics. Mr. Humphries earned a Master in Business Administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. He completed his Bachelor of Arts at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
