Biography
Jorge Luis Lopez is the principal and founder of the Private Practice of Lopez Law Firm. He represents municipal governments, Florida 100, and Fortune 500 companies before federal, state, and local governments, and is considered an expert in political campaigns and elections. Mr. Lopez currently serves as co-chair of the Miami Laureate Society for the American Cancer Society. He has served on the American Cancer Society Board of Directors since 2015 and will serve on the 2017 American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network Board of Directors. In addition to his work with the American Cancer Society, Mr. Lopez has served as a Member of the Florida Division Board, Founding Chair of the Miami-Dade Parks Foundation, Chair of the Governmental Relations Committee of United Way, and the boards for The Miami-Dade Cultural Affairs Cousel, American Red Cross of Greater Miami & Keys, Boys & Girls Club of Miami Executive Committee in addition to being a Diamond Society Member of the Miami Children's Hospital Foundation as well as past Beacon Council appointee of Miami-Dade County Mayor. Mr. Lopez also served on various political and fundraising committees such as the Republican National Committee's Council of 100; President George W. Bush's Pioneers and both of Governor Jeb Bush's Executive Elections and Inaugural Finance Committees
