Biography

    Steve is a vice president and partner with American Structurepoint. He is experienced in all facets of civil engineering, is licensed in 12 states, and has practiced across the country. His responsibilities include strategic growth and operations related to transportation infrastructure across the country. He has been instrumental in delivering unique infrastructure solutions on projects across North America and internationally by bringing out-of-the-box solutions to solve major funding and delivery problems. Steve has assisted state and local governments develop innovative funding solutions for their transportation needs, inlcuding the developed of major tolling concepts and alternative financing scenarios. Steve has focused on helping owners, contractors, and developers deliver major infrastructure projects though the use of alternative delivery methods including design-build, public-private partnerships, along with alternative financing strategies. Steve has delivered unique transportation engineering projects, including major urban interstates, new corridor freeways, design/build, and P3 projects throughout North America. His civil engineering experience includes the design and management of major interstate, expressway, and arterial roadway projects. He has also managed several environmental impact statement and environmental assessment projects. Steve has completed complex highway designs for system and service interchange facilities as well as roundabout and single-point urban interchanges. Steve’s additional work includes plan preparation, specification writing, cost estimating, preliminary engineering and feasibility studies, freeway lighting, signing, pavement marking, MOT, and traffic impact studies. Steve has also completed legislative reviews for new P3 legislation for Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Missouri and has provided feedback on latest industry trends in P3. Steve is a recognized leader in the alternative delivery industry and is active in several major industry groups, including American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) where he is on the P3 Board of Directors, as well as the Design-Build Institute Of America (DBIA) Great Lakes Region Board of Directors.
