Jeffrey Bachman

Biography

Jeff Bachman is a Professorial Lecturer in Human Rights and Co-Director of the Ethics, Peace, and Global Affairs MA Program. His teaching and research interests focus primarily on U.S. foreign policy and human rights. He is also interested in the role news media plays in constructing human rights narratives. He is especially interested in the misuse of international law as a political tool through its selective application and enforcement. His manuscript, Again and Again: The United States' Relationship with Genocide, was recently contracted by Routledge. Jeff has practitioner experience working for Amnesty International in the Government Relations for Europe/Eurasia program.
