David A. Zapico

Biography

Mr. David A. Zapico, also known as Dave, has been Chief Executive Officer at AMETEK, Inc. since May 5, 2016. Mr. Zapico served as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of AMETEK, Inc. since January 1, 2013. Mr. Zapico served as the President of Ametek U.S. Gauge. Mr. Zapico served as the President of Electronic Instruments at AMETEK, Inc. since October 1, 2003 until November 2014. Mr. Zapico joined AMETEK in 1990 as a Product Engineer at AMETEK's Process and Analytical Instruments Division (P&AI) and served in several marketing and engineering roles. Since 1996, he served as Division Vice President of the Process Instruments Business Unit of P&AI. Since 1999, Mr. Zapico served as Vice President and General Manager of AMETEK's Aerospace and Power Instruments Division. He has been Chairman of the Board at AMETEK, Inc. since June 2017. Mr. Zapico has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA Degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

Research Interest

Research interest is to enhance our worldwide leadership position in the design and manufacture of precision vibration control systems, through the introduction of innovative products and capabilities produced with state-of-the-art manufacturing processes for our customers within the semiconductor, semiconductor equipment, laser/electro-optic, life sciences and computer peripheral markets.
