Biography
Dr. Molkentin's research aims to understand the intracellular signaling pathways and transcriptional regulatory circuits that control mammalian cell growth and differentiation. His work has advanced the understanding of molecular events behind heart disease and muscular dystrophy. In 2008 he was named a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) investigator.
