Laura Hamill

Biography

    Laura Hamill is senior vice president, U.S. Commercial Operations. Prior to this role, Laura was senior vice president, Regional General Manager, responsible for operations in more than 35 countries, including two generic manufacturing sites. Laura joined Amgen in 2002 and became vice president, general manager of the Inflammation Business Unit in 2004. In 2007, she moved to Amgen’s international headquarters in Switzerland as the vice president, International Marketing and Business Operations. In 2009, Laura returned to the United States as vice president and general manager, Corporate Accounts, which in 2010 became Commercial Operations Business Unit with the merger of two business units into one, Corporate Accounts and Commercial Operations Effectiveness Business Units. In July of 2011, she moved back into the international markets leading our expansion into Latin America, Canada and Australia as vice president, LACAN Regional General Manager. With more than 28 years’ experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, Laura has held a variety of roles within the areas of brand management, business analysis, strategic planning, general management and sales. Prior to joining Amgen, she held positions at Hoffmann La-Roche, Klemtner Advertising and Immunex. Laura received a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Arizona. She is a board member of the Amgen Foundation and the executive leader of Amgen’s Senior Women’s Advisory Council. For three years, Laura was also the Chair of the Pharma Latin America Regional Council, and is currently a member of the Women Business Leaders in Healthcare.
