Eric R. Waller

Biography

 Eric Waller is the Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of Armstrong Energy. Prior to joining Armstrong, Eric worked as Senior Counsel for Columbia Pipeline Group. Prior to joining Columbia, Eric worked for eight years at Patriot Coal Corporation, where he held legal positions including Assistant General Counsel and Senior Counsel. His wide array of legal experience at Patriot Coal included commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, litigation, SEC, and corporate governance matters, among others. Prior to joining Patriot Coal, Eric was an associate attorney at Steptoe & Johnson PLLC, where his practice focused on energy, labor, and litigation matters. Eric is a graduate of the West Virginia University College of Business & Economics, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Finance (Summa Cum Laude). Eric is a licensed attorney, and holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the West Virginia University College of Law, where he graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif.
