Biography
Canan Uckun holds a B.Sc. in industrial engineering (2003) from Marmara University and a M.Sc. in industrial engineering (2006) from Koc University, Istanbul, Turkey. She received her Ph.D. in operations management/management science from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business in 2012. She is an STA in CEEESA. She has done research on electricity markets, smart grid, demand response, revenue management and inventory systems. Her current work includes stochastic unit commitment, renewable integration, grid-level energy storage and demand response related projects.
