Biography
Ben is a former US Congressman who represented the 3rd Congressional District of Arizona. He currently counsels clients on domestic policy that impacts both US and multinational companies. He also advises on matters related to financial services, intellectual property, tax policy, national defense and energy.During his time in Congress, Ben focused on regulatory reform that would ease the burden of the federal bureaucracy. Such reforms included changes to Dodd-Frank, updating Sarbanes-Oxley and tort reform, among others. Ben developed a reputation for hard work, critical analysis, unique perspective and coalition building.Ben has established and maintained strong relationships in both houses of Congress. He was one of the few members who could help bridge the gap between Congressional leadership and its most conservative members. Such insight is invaluable in today’s Congress.Ben was a member of the Committee on the Judiciary, and Vice-Chair of the Subcommittee on Intellectual Property. He also served on the Committee on Homeland Security, and the Committee on Science, Space and Technology.Prior to Congress, Ben founded Tynwald Capital, an investment firm that focused on acquiring small businesses in the Southwest. Additionally, Ben worked as an associate lawyer at Snell & Wilmer and Schulte Roth & Zabel. His practice focused on securities, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and real estate transactions.

Ben graduated from Duke University and earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law. He is married and has two young daughters.
