Jake Logan

Biography

As the Deputy Head of State Government Affairs, Jake Logan is responsible for assisting the Head of State Government Affairs with the strategic guidance and day-to-day activities of the UnitedHealth Group State Government Affairs Team. In this role, he is responsible for coordinating the public policy and political engagement activities for businesses in the UnitedHealth Group family in the State of Arizona. Previously, he was a partner in an Arizona-based government and public affairs lobbying firm, representing clients on tax policy, education, health care, and budget issues. Mr. Logan also served as the Senior Advisor to former Arizona House Speaker Jake Flake (R-AZ) and the Regional Director and Campaign Manager to former U.S. Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ). Jake Logan serves as the Deputy Head of State Government Affairs at UnitedHealth Group, where he provides strategic guidance for the State Government Affairs Team. In this role, he helps to enhance the Enterprise’s presence and relationships with elected officials, policymakers and state and community-level office holders, as well as key third-party stakeholders.Previously, he was a partner in an Arizona-based government and public affairs lobbying firm, where he represented clients on tax policy, education, health care, and budget issues. He also served as the Senior Advisor to former Arizona House Speaker Jake Flake (R-AZ) and the Regional Director and Campaign Manager to former U.S. Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ).Jake was appointed by former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer (R-AZ), and confirmed by the State Senate, to the Arizona State Charter School Board, where he served two years as President, and was a member of current Arizona Governor Doug Ducey’s (R-AZ) Gubernatorial Transition Team.He graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and History and completed the Stanford University Executive Education Program.Jake lives in Phoenix, AZ with his wife Lori and two children, Tommy and Allie.
