Biography
I am an Associate Professor of Environmental and Resource Economics in the School of Sustainability and the Center for Environmental Economics and Sustainability Policy at Arizona State University. My research focuses on natural resource management, with an emphasis on viewing humans and nature as linked in a coupled system. My work combines theoretical models from bioeconomics with statistical and econometric techniques to help policymakers and stakeholders achieve more efficient, effective and sustainable policy outcomes. I work in a number of domains including fisheries management, marine policy, municipal water management, and the valuation of natural capital for improved metrics of ecosystem-based management and sustainable development.
