Scott Schaffner

Biography

 of Sports Medicine Business at ArthroCare Corporation since January 25, 2010. Mr. Schaffner has nearly two decades of experience and a proven track record in sales and marketing of medical devices and surgical tools for spine care and orthopedic uses. He served as the Division President of Abbott Spine, Inc. He joined ArthroCare from Zimmer Spine, where he served as Vice President of Sales and General Manager. He joined Zimmer Spine (originally Abbott Spine/Spinal Concepts) in 2001 and held positions of increasing responsibility including Group Product Manager, Director of Marketing, Division Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Division President. He served at Medtronic for nearly a decade in its Neurological and Cardiovascular businesses and consulted overseas with Deloitte & Touche. He serves as a Director of rthoSpace Ltd. Mr. Schaffner earned a Bachelor's degree in business from the University of Minnesota and a master's in business administration from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.
