Caryn E. Outten is a Professor in Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at University of South Carolina
Research Interest
Her research group studies how cells regulate iron homeostasis and redox balance at the cellular and molecular level using Saccharomyces cerevisiae (baker's yeast) as a model system. We use a variety of biochemical, molecular biology, and cell biology techniques that span the fields of bioinorganic chemistry, redox biochemistry, and mitochondrial function and physiology
