Biography
Dr. Fisher joined Asheville Gastroenterology Associates in October, 2015. She graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 2008, and completed her Residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Internal Medicine in Lebanon, New Hampshire. She completed her Gastroenterology Fellowship from the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Fisher is a member of several professional organizations including the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association. Dr. Fisher’s particular areas of interest include Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
Research Interest
Signal transduction pathways involved in gastrointestinal smooth muscle cells. Thin filament regulation of smooth muscle activity and provide a regenerative medicine approach to the treatment of gastric motility disorders in an ever expanding aging population.
