Biography
John Beard is the CEO and Founder of the Association for Rural Health Professional Coding (ARHPC) which is a subsidiary of Universal Medical and Compliance (UMC). ARHPC is a membership and education firm experienced in working with state and federal organizations in addition to one-on-one with physicians and staff of various specialties, medical groups, hospitals, rural health, school-based, and federally qualified health centers. John is the primary force behind how the ARHPC has become what it is today. He develops and manages educational partnerships with national and state rural health organizations, private and public health facilities, and state primary care associations as well as relationships with nationally-recognized vendors in order to provide lower cost solutions that can be afforded by America’s Safety Net Health System. His focus is on developing educational support systems for clinical providers, coders/billers, facility management, IT, revenue cycle staff, quality management, and utilization review professionals in order to generate legally appropriate additional revenue through an investment in education, training, and professional credentialing. His experience includes various roles supporting healthcare professionals including: Facilitating state and federal educational partnerships including education related to auditing, medical coding, documentation guidelines, ICD-10, and mastering Medicare billing rules.
