Lawrence G. Santilli

Biography

As President and Chief Executive Officer of Athena Health Care Systems, Mr. Santilli oversees all aspects of Athena's business and maintains the overall mission and vision. Athena is nationally recognized for providing quality care and manages 45 nursing homes throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Mr. Santilli is also involved with the oversight of one pediatric center, one active adult community, one assisted living community, two hospice agencies all located in Massachusetts as well as a home health agency in Connecticut. Athena was rated as one of the top 50 nursing home management companies in the nation by Provider magazine, June 2009 to 2016. Athena has been featured in several publications, including:Mr. Santilli is the President of the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities (CAHCF) and serves as a Board Member on the Governor’s Health Care Cabinet, as well as a Board Member on the Massachusetts Senior Care Association. Mr. Santilli is a registered lobbyist with the state of Connecticut. He is widely respected for his financial expertise having over 30 years of experience in the health care industry. His experience is often called upon to educate legislators on various long-term care and senior health issues.
