Biography
Peter Honkanen Founder and Chief Operations Officer of Aushon BioSystems, has served in leadership positions in the high tech & life science industries for the past 20 years. Most recently, his primary focus has been on innovating in the multiplexed protein assay space.Prior to founding Aushon in 2003, Peter was one of three principles at Genetic MicroSystems, a genomics life science tools company, and Vice President of Instrumentation at Affymetrix, a pioneer in microarray technology & products. In these roles, Peter lead the development & commercialization of next generation multiplexed assay products. Peter holds numerous patents covering the fabrication, processing and analysis of both genomic and proteomic multiplexed assays.Peter has an MS in Business Management from MIT Sloan and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Boston University. He is a former US Navy officer (Intelligence). He currently serves on the MIT Sloan North American Executive Board.
