Biography
Dr. Mark J. Kontny, Ph.D. served as the President of Global Pharmaceutical Development Services and Chief Scientific Officer of Patheon Holdings Coöperatief U.A (a/k/a, Patheon Inc) from April 15, 2010 to August 13, 2012. Dr. Kontny's previous industry roles include: Divisional Vice President of Global Pharmaceutical and Analytical Sciences for Abbott Laboratories; Senior Director for Pharmacia/Monsanto/GD Searle; and nearly ten years at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. He joined Patheon from Abbott Laboratories, where he served as Divisional Vice President of Global Pharmaceutical and Analytical Sciences for their global pharmaceutical research and development organization.
