Biography
Ken Jacobson, vice president and corporate controller for Avnet, is currently serving as interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) also. In this interim role, he leads a global finance group responsible for more than 50 separate functions including: accounting, financial operations, administrative services, business advisory services, and corporate administration. Ken joined Avnet in 2013 with 12 years of public accounting and industry experience working with a variety of public, private and international companies across various industries including technology, manufacturing and distribution. He is experienced in developing strong, collaborative cross-functional relationships and balancing business objectives with accounting requirements. Prior to joining Avnet, Ken served as the director of external reporting and accounting research at First Solar Inc., where he led the external reporting and accounting support function with responsibility for appropriately applying and reporting U.S. GAAP to significant transactions including revenue arrangements, business and asset acquisitions, and joint ventures and partnerships. Ken holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Washington and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Washington.
