Biography
Janet Wessels began her nursing career in the United States Navy in 1983 and serves as a Captain in the active Navy Reserve. She has held various leadership/management positions ranging from intensive care, same day surgery to hospice and home care. She has extensive experience in quality and safety education, and is a certified Team STEPPS trainer. She developed the care transitions education training and student clinical experiences at the San Diego Regional campus. Her passion is mentoring students to pursue excellence in all areas of life. She enjoys being active in church ministry with her husband.
